Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there, we are so blessed to have our children. I have seen these cards all over cyberworld and decided to try my hand at them.

The cards are created with the following:
  • Cardstock: Soft Suede, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla
  • Inks: Soft Suede, Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party
  • Stamp Sets: Mixed Bunch, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Creative Elements
  • Tools: Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Blossom Punch, Dimensionals
  • Embellishments: Wisteria Wonder 3/8 Ruffled Ribbon, Pearls

  • The pot is cut 9 X 3 1/2 inches and scored at 2 & 5 1/2 inches. The insert is cut from Calypso Coral      4 1/2 by 2 1/2. The Very Vanilla is cut 1/4 smaller.

You could easily use this card for any occasion, I also stamped one with "friend to friend" also from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. Feel free to post your creations here, I would love to see what you come up with.

    Petite Purse Die

I just LOVE this die!! I have been making tons of purses to put treat inside. These purses were made for my daughter's birthday party, inside we put a lipgloss and a ring. Her friends fell in love with these.

The purses were created with the following:
    • Cardstock: Melon Mambo
    • DSP: Summer Smooches
    • Tools: Petite Purse Die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder

The flowers were made out of Melon Mambo cardstock, watch for a Tutorial.

This die is very versatile and the possibilities are endless. Feel free to post your creations in the comment section or visit my Facebook page: "Stamp with Laur - Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator" and upload.

    Treasure Hunt

Who LOVES free stuff?? I belong to a group of Stampin Up Demonstrators called the "Positively Late Night Stampers" and we are doing a Treasure Hunt Blog Hop. All you have to do is click on the Late Night Stampers Page at the top and the list of participating blogs are listed. Visit each blog and look for the following picture:

Then look for and keep track of the clues from each blog. When you have collected 20 clues then leave a comment on this post and send me an email to: stampwithlaur@gmail.com and put Treasure Hunt in the subject line, listing the clue & blog where they were found. I will put all correct entries into a draw to be held May 15, 2012. The winner will receive FREE STAMPIN UP Product from me. Become a follower of my blog as well as submitting the list and I will enter your name twice into the drawing.

    Good Luck and Happy Searching!!

    Here is my clue:

              Stampin Write Markers

For a soft watercolour look, outline your image with a Stampin’ Write Marker, and then use a Blender Pen, Aqua Painter, or water-dampened watercolour brush to pull and blend the marker colours into the area you desire.

You can custom-colour images by colouring directly on the stamp. Use the flexible brush tip on its side to shade and blend colours right on the rubber. The fine point lets you easily colour small areas of the stamp. You can also omit parts of the design by colouring only those features you want to stamp.

    Turtle & Co. Stamp Set

Every year Stampin Up designs an exclusive stamp set to help raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). For every stamp set sold, Stampin Up donates $3 to RMHC. Last years set was Turtle & Co. (#122870 W / #122872 C).
This set is available until May 31 and then it will be gone forever, to order just go to my Online Store.

Here are a couple cards that I did:

For the above card I used Pink Pirouette for the base, layered with Certainley Celery and Soft Suede Cardstock. The card below has a base of Whisper White with a piece of Designer Series Paper layered on top. The image and sentiment are layered on a piece of Early Espresso cardstock.
